Response:

Wayne County has not made that decision yet? PH is in the process of educating them on the effects that legalizing marijuana has had on other States. We may also be releasing a Survey to county residents to get their feedback for opting in or out.

Essex County (Linda Beers)
Response:

The Town of Lewis actually at our February meeting passed a resolution in opposition of the legalization. We discussed at the last Board meeting the possibility of passing a local law prohibiting the growing and sale within the Town limits. We are kind of waiting to see the direction this is going to take from Albany.

The Town of North Hudson will be holding off for now on doing any resolution or local law pertaining to the currently proposed legislation regarding the legalization of adult use of cannabis. We were somewhat split on our views and feel that if the State ends up passing the current legislation and it is passed on the County level, it would make it virtually impossible for us to enforce a local law of that nature.
