Monroe County (Michael Mendoza)
Response:

No, not within the health department at this time, but I am utilizing my waiver to prescribe MAT within my clinical practice (which is independent of the county). I am exploring whether to establish a county suboxone clinic too. I would be curious in others’ responses.

Response:

No for Essex but I support it and work with providers and treatment teams to increase providers.

The Monroe County Department of public health is not providing MAT, although our Commissioner, who still practices family medicine is prescribing it to select patients who come into the Emergency department for an opioid overdose using the following guidelines:

Our department is hosting waiver trainings to empower more PCPs in our area to get waiver trained and start prescribing.
