The New York State (NYS) Department of Health (DOH) administers the Immunization Quality Improvement for Providers (IQIP) program for NYS under a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). IQIP started on July 1, 2019 and is an immunization quality improvement (QI) program for health care providers that are enrolled in the Vaccine for Children (VFC) program. The purpose of IQIP is to promote and support the implementation of provider-level quality improvement strategies that are designed to increase childhood and adolescent vaccine rates consistent with the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices’ (ACIP) recommended routine immunization schedule. NYS IQIP Consultants from the fifty-seven local health departments (LHD), outside of New York City, will work with providers and provider staff in their communities to implement (or improve the implementation of) two or more recommended QI strategies.
The CDC IQIP website contains additional details.
The REDCap IQIP Database is used by IQIP Consultants for recording, managing, and aggregating Immunization Quality Improvement for Providers (IQIP) data.
Note: Notify your Regional Office Contract Manager or the NYS IQIP Coordinator if you need access to REDCap, when seeking answers to IQIP Database questions, or a provider you selected is not listed in the REDCap IQIP database.
Also, Do Not use the “Submit a REDCap Support Request” button in REDCap when seeking answers to IQIP Database questions. Requests submitted with this button are routed to the REDCap team that supports all CDC REDCap projects.
