Save the Date: 2026 Harm Reduction Symposium 

Overview: Join NYSACHO for the 2026 Annual Statewide Harm Reduction Symposium! This symposium has become a vital event to convene local health departments and community partners working in substance use, overdose prevention, and harm reduction. Bringing together public health professionals, community organizations, and advocates, the symposium provides a platform to explore innovative strategies, share best practices, and enhance efforts to reduce substance-related harms and support people who use drugs across New York State.

Audience: Local health departments in NYS and their selected community partner. NYSACHO will provide lodging for these two representatives from each county.

On behalf of the New York State Association of County Health Officials (NYSACHO), we respectfully submit comments in response to the U.S. Department of Education’s proposed rulemaking regarding the implementation of changes to Title IV, HEA programs under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA). NYSACHO represents local health officials across New York State who are responsible for protecting and promoting the health of their communities.
