Join NYSACHO’s Lunch, Learn, Immunize Virtual Series for an engaging discussion on vaccine confidence, health communication, and evidence-based approaches to supporting informed vaccination decisions. This webinar is open to all adult immunization providers in New York State, including healthcare providers, pharmacists, nurses, public health professionals, local health departments, health systems, and community-based organizations.
As vaccine misinformation continues to evolve and public trust varies across communities, healthcare providers play a critical role in communicating effectively about vaccines. This session will explore the science of vaccine decision-making, the factors that influence vaccine confidence, and practical communication strategies that can help providers navigate challenging conversations with patients.
The webinar will feature MA a nationally recognized expert in vaccine behavior, vaccine hesitancy, health communication, and behavior change. Dr. Limaye is a social and behavioral scientist and health communication scholar whose research examines how social, cultural, and environmental influences affect health behavior and how those influences can be leveraged to support positive health outcomes.
Dr. Limaye serves as a faculty member in the Department of International Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and also holds an appointment at George Mason University. Her work focuses on developing and evaluating communication and behavior change strategies that improve public health and build confidence in vaccines and other evidence-based health interventions.
