PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited or NYS registered school.

Special Requirement

A.) Must possess a valid New York State Driver’s License; AND
B.) Must possess a NYS Registered Professional Nurse License-Certification as an immunizer.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
1. Ability to drive a car two to four hours per day.
2. Ability to get in and out of a car five or more times per day.
3. Ability to lift 40 pounds.
4. Ability to use computer, cell phone, pager or other equipment as required.

CIVIL SERVICE TESTING REQUIREMENTS This position is a competitive Columbia County Civil Service position, and will be filled Provisionally until a final applicant can be selected from a Certified List of Eligibles. The Provisionally appointed person is required to register for the training and experience exam (T & E) when it is first offered, and be eligible to be appointed permanently.

Salary: Grade 18A - $75,312
