AI Resource Guide

As AI tools become more accessible and increasingly relevant to public health practice, it is important for LHDs to understand both the opportunities and the ethical, legal, and practical considerations of integrating these technologies. With workforce shortages continuing to challenge public health capacity, AI offers promising ways to reduce administrative burdens, streamline workflows, and enhance staff capacity for service delivery.

This guide is designed to help LHDs begin exploring how AI can support their work. It is not an exhaustive catalog of tools, but rather a living resource that will be updated as new platforms, technologies, and learning materials become available.
